Toronto, Ontario
I went there once, it happened as sort of a fluke a couple years ago and now when I want to go to a consistent, good tasting, reasonably priced, "step-above-home cooked" restaurant, I think of Brownstone's.
They've had the same efficient wait staff for over a year now, and the same consistent meals as well. The menu is a nice array of Canadian cuisine with your regular starters, pizza's, sandwiches, pastas and mains such as grilled salmon with jasmine scented rice, shrimp and chicken kabob, burgers and steaks.
Depending on how exotic you like to dine, you may find this place a little bland. But I like it when I want simple and delicious.
